Northern Ireland Indoor Championships 2023 600kg

Excitement filled the air in Cookstown on Saturday, November 25th, as the Northern Ireland Tug of War community gathered for the eagerly anticipated Northern Ireland Indoor 600kg Championships hosted by Terex.

The battleground for the 600kgs Championship witnessed an intense face-off between four formidable teams – Slieve Croob, Country Club, Richhill, and Ballyhegan. The competition kicked off with adrenaline-pumping clashes during the group stages, where each team fought valiantly in some grueling long ends of tug of war.

As the dust settled, Richhill emerged as the leaders of the group, showcasing their strength and determination. Country Club secured the second spot, while Ballyhegan claimed a respectable third position.

Semi-Final Showdowns

Country Club’s journey to the final was nothing short of impressive, defeating Ballyhegan in two straight pulls during the semi-final. Meanwhile, Richhill displayed their prowess, proving too strong for Slieve Croob.

Keenly Contested Final

The culmination of the championship brought forth a keenly contested final, with Richhill defending their title against Country Club. In a display of skill, strategy, and sheer determination, Richhill emerged victorious in straight ends, securing their grip on the championship once again.
