The Northern Ireland Tug of War Association (NITOWA) is proud to announce that it will be hosting the highly anticipated British and Irish Tug of War Championships in Armagh on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July 2025. This prestigious event, which brings together the best tug of war teams from across the UK and Ireland, will take place at The Mall in Armagh, making for a stunning backdrop as athletes compete in one of the most thrilling and physically demanding sports.

As the event draws closer, NITOWA is encouraging all interested participants and supporters to get involved early by attending training events starting on Saturday 1st March 2025. The training sessions will be held every Saturday at 6:00 PM for the next four weeks at the Longstone Indoor Riding Arena, located at Mullinure Lane, Armagh, which is part of the St Luke’s Hospital complex. The Longstone Arena provides an ideal indoor facility that will help participants train in all weather conditions, ensuring that athletes are well-prepared for the big event in July.
